I have been reading Daymond John's books about Branding (one of the reasons I've become obsessed with blogging- I want people to know me and the stories behind the brand.) There was one thing he said that really struck me (a paraphrase) enjoy the ride on the way up because it's not as exciting when you arrive. It really got me thinking... how much of our life do we want to hurry past or wish away?
Example: You're sitting at work on Monday morning, how often do you dream about Friday? How often do we find stuff to do-just to pass the time? Each moment is a gift, cheesy I know, but really think about that for a second. If tomorrow was your last day how much would you give for more time, even if the added time was all Monday's? How much time do we waste hiding who we are?
Right now I want:
1) For everyone to know about Mingo... you can help with this- just tell everyone you know! Enter this contest for a FREE Karma off the shoulder... you're helping us spread the word AND entering yourself for something awesome.
Click to enter contest, then share it with your friends! |
3) To give one of those jumbo checks to like 10 different charities. (Think I could do that for all donations? Or would it cost almost as much to create the check as I would have to donate? Must research this.)
2) To instantly be my goal weight... skinny enough to pull off hotness but keep some of my curves. The perfect balance has yet to be determined. Oh AND buy a whole new wardrobe with absolutely no budget restrictions!
3) To do all the amazing updates to my house that I have pinned on pinterest
Such as create a backyard paradise (with heated pool for MO weather of course!) Click for Pinterest link |
Just to name a few =)
However, there is so many amazing things happening everyday... So many people to meet, so many things to laugh at... therefore I'm making a vow, creating a new shirt AND issuing a challenge.
The Vow
I am going to find something each day to accomplish... I'm not going to turn down invitations (unless I have something else already planned) I am going to make a point of making a list of all those important to me that I don't see as often as I want and send them a note or give them a call or touch base in some way. I'm going to give everyday a purpose.
The New Shirt
"Believes in Living in the Moment" I'm on the look out for a charity to attach, send any ideas you have!
The Challenge
Do the same, don't waste one day of your life waiting for the next big event- create one!
Cheers,
Tiffiney
P.S. If you comment back on this post it's worth an entry for the shirt! Click the link above or here:
